So what has happened to ReCharge Medina County?

By Nancy Abbott

You might think that ReCharge Medina County has died and faded away. No such luck. Founding member, as well as new recruits, have been out in the county and the state cheer leading for conservatism, and yes, the Republican Party.

Sharon Ray has been leading the efforts to make sure that conservative Wadsworth residents will be serving on Council next year. She is also John Kasich’s county coordinator for his campaign to take back the governorship of Ohio.

Representative Bill Batchelder, Minority Leader, has traveled to every county in Ohio in his quest to find good strong candidates to run for the Ohio House of Representatives.

Kathryn Truman is spreading the word to church groups, softball leagues (yes, she is really sad that the softball season is over), and every other group of persons gathered that is open to talking about conservative issues. She is going to step it up a notch in 2010, so look for her everywhere.

Nancy Abbott Has ventured out of her comfort zone to be involved in some grass root organizations or coalitions. At one time Nancy was not sure about Medina County Friends and Neighbors, but now she embraces the group. She attends the Saturday morning meetings and presents the “ten minute Constitution.” She encourages others attending the meetings to be engaged and active, not to be couch potatoes.

Kevin Dunn, Colleen Swedyk, and Nancy Abbott are working on local elections. Good leaders are often found at the local level.

Ron Falconi, Gary Werner, Joe Salzgeber, and Keith Dirham have been working on their own campaigns. Good luck to all of them.

ReCharge members are recruiting good conservative Republicans to apply to be Republican Central Committeemen.

Every ReCharge member is reminding people to exercise their right and responsibility to vote in November!

ReCharge is planning an event to help out our local food pantries on November 20, 2009. Keep the date open.
